David and Brandi Moss bring over 22 years of combined clinical massage experience to Massage and Bodywork of Athens, which they proudly opened together in October 2017. Their mission has always been clear: to provide results-driven therapeutic massage — not spa fluff.
At Massage and Bodywork of Athens, every session is tailored to the individual, whether the focus is injury recovery, chronic pain management, or stress reduction. With a team of highly skilled licensed massage therapists, the clinic emphasizes evidence-based techniques and advanced training to ensure each client receives care that is both effective and restorative.
David and Brandi are committed to creating an environment where clients feel supported in their health journey, and where massage therapy is recognized as an essential part of functional, long-term wellness.
Sha’Teira discovered her passion for massage therapy during her senior year of high school and pursued formal training at Gwinnett College of Lilburn, earning her license in 2021. Since then, she has been dedicated to helping clients achieve lasting relief from pain and tension through evidence-based bodywork.
Her clinical focus is in Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), a technique aimed at addressing muscular imbalances and chronic discomfort. She also has advanced training in Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, TMJ Dysfunction, and Reflexology, allowing her to tailor sessions to the specific needs of each individual.
Sha’Teira is committed to creating a supportive environment where clients feel respected and cared for.
Beyond her work in massage, Sha’Teira values time with her family, traveling, and practicing meditation for mindfulness and mental well-being.
Mary became interested in massage therapy after the birth of her first child. Following a complicated pregnancy and birth, she sought a holistic approach to recovery, and found that massage therapy treatments played a pivotal role in her healing. Inspired by her own experience, Mary knew she wanted to help others in the same way. She enrolled at the Atlanta School of Massage in 2015 and has been practicing professionally since 2017.
Her primary areas of focus are injury rehabilitation and chronic pain management, and she is passionate about supporting her clients on their path to recovery and long-term wellness.
Gretchen has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2016. She graduated Massage School with a certification in Neuromuscular Therapy. She became certified in Thai Massage and Medical Massage a few years after school. Her curiosity for learning how to release pain patterns in the body led her to complete a two-year training in trigger point therapy through Coaching the Body Institute. She loves being able to bring clients out of pain and to educate them in how to use their bodies more efficiently to avoid living in pain and lead healthier lives through improved mobility.
She is a wife and mother to four children. She is an amateur cellist. She enjoys hiking and camping with her family and martial arts. She spent a decade in the Philippines, where she was first introduced to massage, and first had the idea of one day becoming a massage therapist to be able to share the beautiful gift of bodywork with others.

Kisha was born in Champaign, Illinois, and has called Georgia home since the age of five. With more than 15 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, she combines compassion and a kind spirit with a strong academic background. Kisha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s degree in Sports Health Science with a concentration in Sports Injury Management.
She is deeply passionate about massage, health, and wellness, and specializes in deep tissue massage and therapeutic stretching. Kisha customizes each session to address the unique needs of her clients and believes strongly in educating them on the importance of maintaining an active, functional lifestyle through massage therapy. She is dedicated to providing every client with excellent care and results.
Michael is a graduate of the Atlanta School of Massage, one of Georgia’s most respected programs. He brings both technical skill and athletic insight to every session.
His martial arts background gives him a firsthand understanding of what the body endures under physical stress — and how targeted bodywork can prevent injuries, speed recovery, and improve performance. By analyzing muscular relationships, body position, and muscular response, Michael focuses on improving the functionality of joints, decreasing asymmetric strain. Michael specializes in working with athletes and active individuals, but his clinical approach is effective for anyone dealing with muscle tension, postural strain, or chronic pain.
Clients appreciate his ability to combine precise, therapeutic pressure with corrective stretching and trigger point release, creating measurable improvements in mobility and comfort. Whether you’re preparing for competition, coming back from injury, or simply seeking long-lasting relief, Michael’s sessions are designed to help you move better and feel stronger.

Outside of the clinic, Nathan enjoys an active lifestyle that includes weightlifting, swimming, cycling, running, and outdoor activities. His dedication to fitness and wellness further enhances his approach to helping clients achieve their own health goals.
At Massage and Bodywork of Athens, every therapist is highly trained in addressing the entire body — from head and neck to shoulders, hips, and beyond. No single therapist is “better” at one area than another; instead, the team shares a comprehensive skill set rooted in clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice.
Each session is tailored to the individual, whether the focus is injury recovery, chronic pain management, or stress reduction. Clients can feel confident that no matter who they see, they will receive the same high standard of care that defines the clinic.
Our pricing is up front and highly competitive. We don't believe in luring clients with introductory pricing and there's nothing to upsell. All we do is therapeutic and deep tissue work. We like to think of ourselves as the antithesis of a spa!

We do not do the traditional couples massage in the same room that spas do... we can book two simultaneous appointments, though, with enough notice.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment on the credit card we have on file.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment on the credit card we have on file.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
